Arthur Fong

Arthur Fong is an advisor at TNB Aura. With 31 years of banking experience, of which 28 years were in Private Banking, Arthur has extensive market exposure to Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Greater China. He is therefore, culturally "plugged-into" clients' nuances and familiar with local practices in Asia. Arthur held leadership roles in various global private banks, including Citigroup Private Bank, and UBS AG.

Prior to Bank of Singapore, he was the Singapore Market's Deputy Market Leader & Team Head at Credit Suisse AG, Singapore.

In November 2014, amongst the inaugural batch to be conferred the title of "IBF Fellow" by the Institute of Banking & Finance (IBF),the standard-setting body for financial sector competencies in Singapore. The "IBF Fellow" is conferred to professionals recognizing them as key practitioners and thought leaders in the financial industry. In this capacity, he has been committed to grow Singapore's banking core of professionals. He is a member of the panel of assessors for programs at Temasek's Wealth Management Institute.

In tandem with his banking career, he served 3 terms as an elected Member of the Singapore Parliament from 2001 to 2015 (MP for West Coast GRC).He participated in forums discussing Financial Market Reforms at several International Parliamentary Union meetings held in Bern,Geneva and Quebec.He is therefore intimate with the precepts of Singapore's goal to be a preeminent financial centre.

Arthur holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Management from the University of Oregon, United States of America. He is also a member of the Singapore Institute of Directors.

Awarded the CBE (Hon) in 2014 during Singapore's first State Visit to the UK since Singapore's Independence.
