TNB Aura Funds Ex-Grab Founding Exec’s Brand Aggregator
Source: TechInAsiaIndonesia-based Tjufoo has raised an undisclosed amount for its seed round led by TNB Aura, which will fund the brand aggregator’s efforts to grow local direct-to-consumer brands.
Tjufoo was co-founded in 2022 by TJ Tham, a former founding member of Grab, where he headed GrabBike Indonesia and was also the CEO of GrabWheels.
Tham is bringing an “Indonesia first” approach to helping small businesses through equity capital. Tjufoo’s platform offers scaled distribution, research, analytics, data platforms, optimized supply chain, and infrastructure.
“We connect brands with experts from various well-known Indonesian companies who can help them with strategic inputs and partnerships to grow together,” said Tham.
Tjufoo is also collaborating with leadership community Stellar Women to put up AKSI Perempuan, an accelerator program for women-founded businesses.
“We understand that women face many obstacles in running a business. In addition to capital, women have key roles in the family, dealing with stigma and social pressure, as well as the lack of access to important information and networks,” said Samira Shihab, co-founder and CEO of Stellar Women and Tinkerlust.
