Kelvin Ong

Kelvin is a Venture Partner at TNB Aura, providing general insight into advanced manufacturing, engineering and deep tech opportunities. With 20 years of experience in precision engineering and technology, he is the founder of FocusTech Ventures, a private investment firm that partnered with Singapore’s National Research Foundation and Enterprise Singapore to support early stage startups since 2011.

Kelvin is the co-founder and CEO of a B2B SaaS company and as an angel investor, focuses on IoT and agri-food. He served as the Executive Director of Focus-Tech Holding, leading shareholder of hard disk drive component maker Seksun Group. Kelvin holds an MBA from Nanyang Technological University.

Founders shouldn’t be fearless. Fear keeps you sharp & it takes courage to expose vulnerability to potential judgment & rejection in order to learn, get help & gain strength.

Outside of the office, what do you have heart for?

Work is my comfort zone & I'm plain boring outside it. Other than family time with 3 kids, I love football, with the occasional EPL & FIFA binge.
